Life is changing. I understand that fact, and a whole lot of people as well. These changes seem to manifesting in forms that catch my attention more and more everytime.
The most prominent and probably the most significant change I'm experiencing now is my "shifting of language" as I like to call it. I've been speaking English my entire life, well, as long as I remember anyway, but that pretty much signifies my entire life, doesn't it? Anyway, what I take pride in myself (although I probably shouldn't) is my ability to speak English, practically effortlessly. It is afterall my first language. I'm ignoring the fact that I'm Filipino and am living in the Philippines right now.
We were given an article by our English teacher about English globalization. English turning into a international language? It pretty much promotes English and is advertising that "you need English, people are handing over heaps of money to learn English", blah, blah. But that was written/published last March, 2005 that is, by Newsweek. I've been saying that it's literally "so last year". This year Time recently released an article quite similar to it, when comparing it by topic. Time's saying that Chinese is the new world, or is the upcoming, language.
That thought makes me want to cry though; I've been neglecting my Chinese classes for the past eleven years, and now when I'm old enough to understand these facts, I want to go to China to study the subject I've been hating for 2/3+ years now. Why must this happen? English has almost no more edge in job applications, it's Chinese now, damnit!
The second, and slightly more significant change in my life today is I'm starting to like drawing again... *collective gasp* Haha... I remember, after I first watched Anastasia, the Disney Princess movie (Disney seems to love making princess movies, I've no idea why), I bought a notebook with her picture in front, Anastasia in her ball (not princess) gown, the dark blue one if I remember correctly. I copied her, and almost made a very good copy, my downfall was the eyes. I had finished drawing her, but I couldn't, just couldn't copy the eyes. I think that it was that event in my life that stopped me from drawing. I used to love drawing, my life was like draw this, draw that, and so on and so fort, but that horribly "cheap" moment halted everything. Man, that sucked. If I hadn't stopped I might be drawing good anime today. *frowns*
The third, and totally useless change right now is that I'm starting to shift from Initial D to Kyou Kara Maou. KKM, I realize that that's what the fanbase is calling it for keystroke's sake, is slowing and steadily seeping into my mind, replacing the cars, and the not-so-bishounens of Initial D. See? "Not-so-bishounens"! What the hell! Shoo, shoo KKM, I'm not willing to give up Initial D yet! Espcially if I haven't finished the arcade stage yet! :P
Go away, KKM obsesssion!
But of couse, I'm the one and only one causing this change. I'm the one deciding to watch those episodes on YouTube! But I really do like the opening song... That won't change. Heck, even though I haven't listened to say... Noizy Tribe in ages, upon ages, upon ages, when my randomizer chose it randomly, I found myself nodding along to the song I used to love so much, such a long time ago, 1 year ago...
My, how life changes so quickly, why do things have to change...?
I'm not ending my post yet. I still have few things to get down, like a progress report(s), complaint, review, and a request. Meow!
I went to G4 yesterday...? Yeah, yesterday, I asked my mom to watch a movie, Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. Honestly, I had quite a few expectations from this movie. I hoped that it would have at the very least good race scenes, if nothing else. But even still with this meager hope, FFTD, failed.
When I watched it, the only plot I could indentify was that race, till you die, because the crazy dudes seem to have that philosophy. They really won't stop racing, regardless of the accidents and their hardly-existant skill. Death is probably the ultimate barrier. If you won't stop doing something bad for you, that, Death is what is in front of you. Actually it's in front of everyone, but continuing dangerous acts, would be like pulling it closer and closer to you.
Also, I was disappointed that I couldn't stop any Initial D cars, no hachi-roku... Although I think I saw an FD...
If I were to rate I'd give it a 2.5/5, because I liked the uber shiny, tricked-out sportscars these insane racers wielded.
Anyway, another report very much related to the previous one. I got to play again! Wohoo! Cheers and dances, not really. But I beat Kyouichi in Irohazaka, and cleared the entire Shomaru stage in one sitting! My car probably lightened the load, being the king car of that course and all. Happogahara was really hard though, I just skipped it. Added star to my precious RX8! But honestly, I didn't see any of the veterans.
All the really good players like Flup(?) it goes something like that, didn't pass by. The good players are usually around after lunch until before dinner time, but everyone there was a newbie. Some guy there said that I was good... Whoa, this guy is definetely new, I'm nothing compared to the seriously good dudes.
Also, I saw JV(?) there as well. He was playing Wangan Midnight this time around. He said that he had a hard time beating Impact Blue, and that he could drift, so he just transferred to Wangan, which is so much easier than IDAS, I will reiterate that time and time again. But he had a hard time with Wangan as well. Next time I see him, I'll tell him that he won't be able to get past these guys without practice. Before I couldn't even beat Tooru, for crying out loud, now he's a piece of point cake. I really don't like those kind of people, those who just give up because it's too hard, but that works against me, so that means that I really don't like myself as well... *shrug*
Also, if anyone reads this, and is applicable, I'd like help with Happogahara on IDAS. *cries* That was so hard, turn after turn, after turn, after turn, after turn...
And finally, Yahoo Answers... It's actually fun ^^ But I still like Google!

Previous Day Post
I was supposed to type ths up last night after dinner, but when I was preparing to camp out at the computer for the night, my aunt came over to discuss some "stuff" with my mom. But anyway, I was just planning to put up the entry for my English journal. Ooh... We have an English journal... Yeah, we have to write up stuff for our Company profile project. I think we are to just write on days we did our project, like yesterday... Oh well...
Man, my mom's light is screwed, not to mention her ancient television as well.
"Since today is the PTC, Parent's & Teacher's Conference, we decided to schedule our company visit today. We agreed on meeting in school at around ten o'clock, all except Arlene (I do hope that I got her name's spelling right this time) arrived on time.
We ended up leaving school at around ten-twenty in the morning of this slightly dreary day. CE, Katrina, and Clarissa rode with my mom, while Arlene, Made, and I took a hundred-peso taxi ride, which Arlene and Made have to reimburse me for. Anyway, our taxi got there first, at about ten-forty, while our Corolla arrived a few moments later.
We got a brief briefing (I guess that's why they called it briefing...) from my mom, where she asked us what we were planning to do. Our group decided to do the plant tour first, and so she called the Production Manager, Mr. Chris Pasman, to us a tour of the production area. And although I've been there several times in my life, it feels different being there for the purpose of finding specific details.
He (Sir Chris) showed up around explaining the three different lines and the machines in it. We, but mainly CE, tried to take pictures but the camera was not charged and even we replaced the batteries, it still wouldn't stay on long enough to take a picture, But I don't think anyone over there would ming if we just used pictures from their database.
After our tour, we had a question and answer session with three important people in the company, getting the answers to the handout. I'm thinking of adding another unit/chapter about the security precautions they take both for the physical company and for the reputation or credibility of it. These three people are = Mr. Roberto Tionson, the Plant Head; Mr. Raymond Torres, the Production Manager; and Ms. Julie Cruz, the General Manager and my mother.
They insisted on keeping the financial details private, but they seemed more than willing to provide for our other requests. Someone from the company, most likely my mom, ordered Jollibee for our lunch, one-piece Chickenjoy, which we gladly took, since it was already one o'clock, our reserved manner we, generally, maintained vanished at the sight of food, free food!
After lunch, we took some pictures with our cameraphones outside the factory, since the factory area uses LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) in their machines, particularly their ovens, so they applied the "Turn off your cellphones, please" rule. Also, we decided to collect the calling cards of the officers who were kind enough to spend time helping us. I said "some" because we couldn't find Mr. Chris to retrieve a calling card from him as well.
And I wonder if all men put their calling cards in their wallets, unlike women who seem to have a special steel box for them, but that's seapking for the relatively high-position, professional women.
We finally ended our company visit at two-thirty. The others took a taxi to they-know-where, while I have to go off and continue studying Chinese and researching for debate.
Hmm... Maybe I should just make this the next post for my blog..."
And there you have it, my first English journal entry. Man, is it hard copying stuff onto my mom's computer. Haha...

Philosophy blah...
First of all, I've been wanting write something about this. First Day High, the oh-so-popular commercial of Rexona. I admit, it's a cute, nice, whatever song, with nice give-away vehicles (I can't go off and say cars because the Ranger and the Duccati are pick-up truck and a motorcycle, respectively). And I wouldn't mind getting a Focus or a Mazda3, only problem is that I can't drive.
I mean, most of the Kamikazee are really nice, my cousins kept singing Narda during the summer, as a testament to that. Anyways, back to my original topic. But first I'll post the lyrics of the song:
FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Nasasabik sa unang araw ng iskwela
Taas kamay with confidence
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
First day of school laging may kaba
Sino ba naman ang gustong mag-isa?
Sana may cute na makatabi
May bagong kaibigan tapos ng klase
Lakas loob, hanapin ang katropa
Sumabay sa sayaw!
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Nasasabik sa unang araw ng iskwela
Taas kamay with confidence
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Umaapaw sa talino, To the BRAINY high!
Kung mayaman si papa,To the SOSY high!
Pag mahilig ka sa sports, To the MVP high!
Kung cool ka at astig, To the REBEL high!
Pag solid sa bait, To the NICE GUY high!
Itaas ang kamay
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Nasasabik sa unang araw ng iskwela
Taas kamay with confidence
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Iba't iba ang hilig
Magkakasundo sa trip
Kung gusto mong sumama
WELCOME KANG MAG FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Taas noo, wag kang mag-alala
Tiwala sa sarili, wag ka nang mahihiya
Kumaway't wag kalimutang ngumiti
Sigurado'y sa iyo na may babati
(Hiiiiiiii!)
Lakas loob, hanapin ang katropa
Itaas ang kamay!
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Nasasabik sa unang araw ng iskwela
Taas kamay with confidence
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Umaapaw sa talino, Do the BRAINY high!
Kung mayaman si papa, Do the SOSY high!
Pag mahilig ka sa sports, Do the MVP high!
Kung cool ka at astig, Do the REBEL high!
Pag solid sa bait, Do the NICE GUY high!
Itaas ang kamay
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Nasasabik sa unang araw ng iskwela
Taas kamay with confidence
LET'S DO THE FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
Iba't iba ang hilig

Kung gusto mong sumama
WELCOME KANG MAG FIRST DAY HIGH!!!
F-I-R-S-T D-A-Y
FIRST DAY HIGH!!!

FIRST DAY HIGH!!!

It's catchy, it's cute, and it most probably doesn't need a translation. Anyway, what's it about? My interpretation of it is basically stereotyping. There, checked spelling, if you want a definition click -> http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/stereotyping, mainly number two though. It pretty much places you in one of the classes: brainy, sosy, MVP, rebel, or nice guy.
When I watch that commercial (like every 10 minutes or so, when I watch ABS-CBN, that is), what goes straight to my head is, which one are you, when you figure that out, take your pose. But that's just wrong. If you have to set standards to fit in, in a group. It feels like, if you're really smart, you're a brainy, but not a sosy, MVP, a rebel, or a nice guy. It's like trying to fit a person into a surely molded box.
But humans are humans. No more than one person can fit an exact description. You can't go off and say, "Oh, you're so good with sports, you're in the MVP class. So you stay there and leave the other traits behind." Also, since you put a person in a class, you expect this person to have this so-and-so personality trait, and when they don't have it you ask questions about it.
All I can say to close that up is, "Stereotyping is wrong." People are unique, they were created that way, so there's no use trying to put them against a standard.
Second topic. This one is related to our History homework, or seeming series of. What is the greatest contribution of (insert civilization here) to civilization. I think anyway, since God didn't bless me with a photographic memory, I almost never remember the exact wording. Anyway, apart from God, I don't think a greatest anything exists.
Sure, there's a great, and a greater, but no greatest exists. A greatest anything, depends on a person's opinion, not on fact. Because in fact, there are a lot of amazing things, so how can you put a greatly useful item above another. Can you say that you can't live without fire, but can do so without a wheel. Literally, yeah you can actually. But without either, life's standard could return to the ones before Egyptians, because even though they lived thousands of years ago, even they had wheels, or derivations of it, without it there would be no pyramids, of which the Nile's Gift is famous for.
Point is, a lot of things are based on opinion, this homework is as well. So thankfully, there is no such thing as a wrong answer here. Unless of course I say that the Fertile Cresent's greatest contribution is the cell phone, which of course if false, because cell phones didn't exist back then. If you believe that they did, please see someone and check if something's wrong with you.
And the third thing I wanted to say is that I'm planning to make a new blog, or two. One for posting videos, curtesy of YouTube, and the other I might make into a mp3 rotation site. Nothing wrong with that right? :D

Kyou Kara Maou-Breaking The Habit
This is quite a nice video, it features Yuuri and his Maou counterpart. Also the song is from Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit. Obvious much, though.

Kyou Kara Maou
Ok, this is my candidate for new fandom... Haha... It's hardly serious like my previous addictions, but it's so FUNNY!!!
Those two are from the ending song... uhm... I suppose I just realized it now that I really don't know what you call the opening and ending part before the anime... Hmm... Well, I suppose you learn new things everyday. :D
And as I was going to say, not only is it really funny (funny to the point that I'm clutching my stomach from laughing), it's humor is the one I really like, but usually only see in fics. It's yaoi humor... ROFL... But it has a really nice pair of opening and closing songs. They're rock, boy, poppish boy rock... Does that make any sense? Because I despise boy pop. In my opinion, Pop should be left to the female artists. I find it strange that boys singing in tones that even I can't hold... But the boy pop voice, is nice when mixed with rock...
If anyone wants a copy of it, feel free to email/tell me about it. That reminds me, I might put up a list, somewhere, where people can chose songs for me to send to them. The thing that is stopping me is pretty much the menial task of getting all of my songs on a list... A very long list... Oh well, I should get to that one day, as well as a lot of other things like finishing my other serious Initial D fic, and continuing The Devil Wears Prada book.
My days have been really hectic lately. They say, High 3 is the hardest of all the years in high school... Next week is long test week. The schedule being:
Monday - Algebra Long Test, Filipino Long Test, Chinese Vocabulary Quiz
Tuesday - Chemistry Long Test
Wednesday - Trigonometry Long Test
Thursday - Chinese Long Test
Friday - No Classes! Consultation Day (Parent Teachers Conference? Whatever)
When teachers group their tests together, I always say that it's a conspiracy... lol. And what a thing to laugh out loud about, I got a 90 on my Chinese long test... the looming test ahead... That was proabably the first time I scored a 9 figure in high school, for a Chinese long test that is.
Actually, I don't understand how we can have a Chinese long test scheduled when we haven't even completed the things we have to answer on that test... And second, people say that Trigonometry is hard, Accounting as well, this apart from the normal subjects we get every year... Trigonometry isn't really hard. It's just confusing, and you just have to be careful not mistakenly putting a wrong value on the hypothenuse slot. Apart from that, it's like rehashing what we learned these past years. That's why I actually like the Math Electives, but not Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, Trigonometry, are pretty much basic math skill pilled into one more new class, with some new terms added here and there and you get to use calculators. Although I'd like to say the same thing for Calculus, I can't because I don't know what happens in those classes in the 4th year.
Accounting... What can I say about it...? It's interesting, facinating, and I like our teacher, even though i still don't know her name, it starts with a letter "V" and "B", I think. I actually liked reading the first chapter of our textbook, my mom would probably think that it's a miracle. The basics are easy enough to understand... But the hard part is answering the workbook. *makes a face* Things that aren't mentioned in the chapter are brought out, and we're stumped. How much more clear about can I be? We haven't heard of some of these terms, therefore, we rely on the ever-lovable hula-hula method.
A while ago we had "Christian Education" class... I honestly preferred it when they called it Bible class. Basically, it's less of a mouth full... Actually, that's basically it. A while ago, our teacher discussed about the books of the Bible. She gave us handouts to supposedly help us memorize the books, or at least what happened, the basics anyway.
http://shiny-darkness.blogspot.com/2006/06/life-in-mud.html#links
She also said that it is wrong to think that "Life is but a wheel". If you're patient enough to read all my posts, no matter how long and babble-y they are, and actually remember a gist of them, I thank you, so much. A couple of posts back, I posted a poem, "Life in the Mud". It's basically about the rise and fall of your experiences in life. There are good and enjoyable parts, and there are times when it's tempting to just bang your head on a wall out of sheer frustration. I don't think life is but a wheel. My keyword is like.
Because I really believe that life is like a wheel, as I said, there are good and bad times. She also said that a wheel doesn't go anywhere, that we don't have any purpose or any where to go to . But I would like to counter that, a wheel is used to transport stuff, not to go in circles. Wheels go places, unless you hung yours up to render it utterly useless. So, if you understood me, somehow, life is like a wheel.
Oh, yeah... We're supposed to do a case study on the motions that were provided to us yesteryday:
- This house will criminalize HIV-positive patients who knowingly infect others via sexual means.
-This house will televise criminal trials.
I can think of one arguement for the opposition side, for the first motion. If an HIV-positive person gets married, and has sex with his/her partner, he/she is knowingly infecting his/her spouse. And I doubt that this spouse of theirs wouldn't know about their partner's disease (is that the correct term for HIV?), so obviously, they were consented by their spouse, and so they had sex, and they got infected as well. So I don't anyone should be criminalized for a case like that.
And apart from that we have to read up on a lot of other things, and we have to check out these two sites: www.debatabase.org & www.politicalcompass.com.
3rd year is hard enough, but I have these extra-curriculum activities to make it more memorable. *sigh* Just smile and make sure that you do your work. Oh, and I downloaded loads, well ten new songs... Yipee! :D My happiness is so cheap... haha...

Another Day in School, with the Test Looming Ahead Menacingly...
Eep... I really should get to studying my Chinese now. I've been blabbering about it for the past few post now, and it seems like I'm really worried about it... It shall soon be over, and the torment of having this super-significant test ahead shall be lifted off my shoulders, then dropped back on in a day or two, if I'm lucky...
Man, how could our teacher be so mean?! We have a long test tomorrow and she's already giving us our next lesson! But then again, Sir Dadap is a different thing, he gives his lessons in advance, I'm talking 2/3 lessons ahead of the quizzed stuff. But this is life, it's not like we can command the teachers what and what not to give in the tests... Oh well, just study and study until breaktime...
The organizational chart for the Journalism club was released, to those who visited the CandlePen room earlier, and it seems there's a spot in the Executive Council for me... :D I'm going to apply for... Editor-in-Chief... Wow... I've been wanting an editor post for a while now, but never had enough inscentive to ask about it last year... So, obviously, I didn't get the post... That's life. But this year, the editor-in-chief position can only go to 3rd years, I'm not sure if a student from any other level is allowed to take it though... claps hands... I know that I have no real experience in editing, apart from Y's work, and mine, but I will find a way to fit it into my schedule, which is really starting to look a tab bit crammed... Oooh...
When the application forms for the Social Science Club comes out I have to discern whether I can still handle that kind of load, although I am very interested in it. Looks at time, the crappy Initial D in Filipino is on now, and next week so will Samurai 7. The "Grand Finale" is going to start next week, so I expect that Project D is either battling against Wataru or the ugly Evo dudes.
I've started on the Initial D crossword, it's a mostly vertical puzzle. If anyone's interested, I'm willing to share my Get Backers one, and my Literature one as well, though ironically, the spelling in the Literature puzzle isn't quite right. Especially for the Filipino ones... ^^;;
And once again I shall revert to my previous form... If I'm still awake at 2 later on, I won't bother to sleep anymore... And by the way, today's mission was failed.

New Found Movie Site!
Quite literally, it's a few found (Asian) movie site... Well, this is for me though... Aznv.tv!!! Here I found a version of the Initial D Live-Action movie, with subtitles! Haha... I jumped at the chance to watch it, and understand what they're saying at the same time... I like the site... Piracy, but right now, I'm not too concerned...
You have to register, and have Winamp 5 Full Edition, to watch the videos there. I think those with a slower connection have some major waiting to do. You watch it online, so there's buffering involved, and well... It takes some time, and... I don't think I have much to say about the site since there isn't too much anime (yes, actual Japanese animation) on it. But I do have an issue with their search bar... When I remove my "description" it automatically puts it back... So how the heck am I going to find anything other than Initial D. Although I was hoping to find a complete version of the Battle Stage... Pouts...
Oh yeah... I have to go and use that 50 free mp3s I got when I downloaded then new Winamp... :D Eyes blaze happily... But I'm planning to go and wake up at five, so I can study Chinese some more... Damnit... Rain! Typhoon! Rallies! Anything to delay the test!!!
